Nano Banana for Photoshop, rebuilt.

Version 2 replaces the old panel with a new interface and a more careful edit pipeline. The result: less layer drift, fewer color shifts, clearer reference controls, and a new way to break a finished image into editable layers.

NEW PANEL

A faster interface that stays out of your way

Choose model, output count, resolution, and quality from one compact composer. Generation progress and cancel controls now stay inside the panel, while history and account actions remain close at hand.

PLACEMENT + COLOR

Cleaner retouching with less movement

Version 2 captures useful context around your selection, requests a matching aspect ratio, and places the result with one uniform scale. A softly feathered mask blends the edit back into the selection, while sRGB tagging reduces color mismatch in non-sRGB Photoshop documents.

REFERENCES

References are visible, deliberate, and model-aware

Add an image or capture the current Photoshop layer as a reference, then see every reference in the composer before you generate. The panel also hides controls a model cannot use, reducing invalid combinations and guesswork.

New / Layer separation

Turn one image into a positioned Photoshop layer group.

Choose Layer Separation and version 2 places the background and cut-out elements as separate smart objects, in z-order, inside one masked group. In this example, the model found 10 layers—including the main figure, handbag, stools, lamps, candles, and the rear shelf. One undo removes the whole result.
