What’s new: closer likeness, drawn edits, and music

Identity face inpainting, precise drawn edits, original music, and film grain in motion.
ASTRIA WHAT’S NEW · 21 OCT 2026

FROM THE PERSON TO THE FINISHED FILM

A closer likeness.
More creative control.

Bring a portrait closer to your reference, draw the changes you want, and build the soundtrack for your next film. Here’s what’s new since our last product roundup.

YOUR NEXT WORKFLOW

Four updates to put to work.

01

Bring the face back to the reference

Choose Inpaint faces → Identity with one person reference. Identity mode uses that reference to guide the face pass, aiming for a closer likeness while retaining the scene’s pose, clothing, and lighting. Here is the same portrait before and after Identity.

Image composer: open Face inpainting and choose Identity.

02

Draw the shape words cannot pin down

A custom hemline is easier to show than spell out. In this example from Lynx, sketch the exact asymmetric curve on the Botanical Atlas shirt, then add a short instruction: “Cut the shirt hem along the red contour. Keep the print unchanged.” Open Draw to edit on any image to mark the shape, position, or path you want. For local repairs, switch to Plaster.

Original → drawn contour → generated result. The asymmetric hem follows the sketch; the print stays in place.

Give your film its own soundtrack

The new Music tab lets you describe a genre, mood, instruments, and vocals. Add lyrics with verse and chorus sections, or choose Instrumental. Create with MiniMax Music 3.0 or Mureka V9.5, then use a generated track as an audio reference for a video.

Music: add lyrics, turn on Instrumental, and open the model picker.

04

Darkroom for video

Add film grain, color density, halation, bloom, and professional color grading to video in realtime. Open a video in Darkroom and dial in the look while it plays. Then export an MP4 or save a developed copy beside the original.

TRY IT ON YOUR NEXT BRIEF

Direct the details. Finish the work.

Start with a person reference and Identity, or open a result and draw the change you want. Your images, music, and videos begin in Generate.

Open Generate →

Updates since 11 October 2026. Identity examples use one person reference; results depend on the source and model. Video export depends on browser support. Creative workflows use your generation credits.
