FROM REFERENCE TO FINISHED IMAGE
A more natural finish. A faster handoff.
|
|
Soften the digital edge, match product colors to your reference, and take approved images back to your store. Here’s what’s changed since our September roundup.
|
|
YOUR NEXT WORKFLOW
Six changes to try.
|
|
01
Match the color to the reference
In Darkroom’s Color match, add an area, select the garment in your photo, then select the matching area in the reference. Adjust Amount and Tone to bring the result closer to the product color while keeping the rest of the photo intact.
The brown sweatshirt shifts toward the gray product reference; both images stay visible.

|
02
Export finished images to Magento
Select your finished images, choose Magento, and review the destination before uploading to product or variant galleries. Set the export size and format, then send the selected images back to your store. You can also import Magento products as references.
Choose the Magento product destination, export settings, and images to upload.
|
|
03
Keep review and handoff together
Leave comments on individual images, resolve feedback, and use the Ready review filter for export. Store and Drive exports also offer longest-edge limits of 1920px or 2560px, alongside megapixel sizes and format choices.
Image-specific feedback stays beside the photo you’re reviewing.

04
Create from your AI assistant
Connect Astria to ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, or Cursor. Work with references, create images and videos, and find your results in Astria’s gallery. Connect your assistant →
Choose your assistant and follow its connection guide.

05
Start with “Soften digital look”
Open an image → Darkroom → Soften digital look. One click adds subtle grain, softer detail, and gentle highlight glow. New Natural and Film preset groups make looks easier to browse; Density deepens vivid colors while leaving grays untouched.
Before and after on the same photo, with the preset and image visible together.
|
|
06
Dial in the film finish
Switch between Fine, Soft Portrait, Classic, Coarse, and Pushed grain, then adjust amount, size, chroma, and film resolution. Add halation for warm fringes around highlights and bloom for a soft neutral glow.
Fine → Classic → Soft Portrait → a manual grain adjustment.
Halation and bloom have separate amount, size, and threshold controls.

Also new
Grouped galleries organize results by references and date. Trim and crop input videos before using them in the composer. Save Darkroom and Mockup Lab edits to the prompt so the finished version stays with the original.

|
TRY IT ON YOUR NEXT IMAGE
Finish the image. Keep the workflow moving.
Open a result in Darkroom, match it to your reference, then review and export the finished set.

Updates since 19 September · 11 October 2026. Store workflows require a connected workspace store. GIFs use cropped product demos; fine grain is best judged at full image resolution. Read previous updates →
