Seedream 5 for Fashion Photography: Matched Reference Test
Seedream 5 Pro produced a sharp, reference-led campaign frame from the same Sloane, dress, and bag inputs used across the model comparison. The only returned image kept the identity recognizable, the dress pale yellow and sleeveless, and the bag clearly visible while following the flash-lit bar direction.
The earlier weak-source evidence has been removed. This article now makes its model claim from a high-quality, shared reference set.
The complete input reference set
All sources came from Maison Urban prompt 46557199 and were copied into Astria workspace 896 (Articles).

The dress and bag masters exceed 2K on the long edge. Sloane is the disclosed exception to the 1600px source gate, so identity conclusions remain directional.
Prompt
Dress hero shot. An off-kilter, flash-lit photograph of the referenced woman in a dynamic, almost off-balance leaning pose against a dark wooden bar counter or pillar at night. Her body creates a diagonal line. She wears the reference dress and holds the reference bag. The strong flash casts a sharp shadow. Blurred shelves with bottles and bar lights define the out-of-focus background. Cool, edgy vibe.
The matched Seedream 5 Pro result

The original download is 2730×1536. The published WebP is an optimized 1920×1080 derivative, not the master and not an upscale.
Fidelity review
Seedream passes the article-size quality gate: skin, flash, dark wood, and background lights are clean; the dress remains pale yellow with the two-button front and wrapped belt; and the bag retains its gold chain and circular surface language.
It is not a product-exact reconstruction. The garment's folds and belt wrap change, the neckline is interpreted, and individual bag discs are not preserved one for one. The identity is close but less exact than the strongest results in the set, which matters because the source portrait itself is low resolution.
How to qualify Seedream for a collection
- Test the hardest SKU and accessory together before scaling.
- Request the highest supported resolution; in this comparison that was 2K.
- Keep the semantic prompt and references fixed when comparing models.
- Approve identity, garment construction, and accessory geometry separately.
- Retain the downloaded original and label any smaller WebP as a derivative.
Bottom line
Seedream 5 Pro delivered a strong, complete reference-led fashion frame in this controlled one-output test. It is a credible production candidate, but the softened identity and interpreted product details still need normal approval. See the full matched comparison.
