Create models / Fashion

Build a cast with a point of view—not a folder of interchangeable faces.

A memorable model is not “beautiful, editorial, 25.” It is a face with decisions in it. Cast two to five candidates, choose the one who belongs in the brand, and give that choice an identity the next photograph can call by name.

Start close enough to see character. Add the clothes and the world after the cast is approved.

The point of view

Good casting is editing.

Write exact age, skin and facial detail, eyes, nose, face structure, hair and one distinguishing feature. Vary the traits across the casting board deliberately. “Diverse” is an outcome of real choices, not a prompt you can paste at the end.

Keep the first portraits neutral. When every candidate arrives with a different outfit, lens and location, you are choosing art direction instead of a face. The clean headshot makes comparison honest.

Make it

From blank page to a production-ready first set.

Work small until the cast, product and photograph agree. Then make the system repeatable.

  1. 01

    Name the role

Who carries this collection: quiet observer, restless downtown lead, precise minimalist, warm host? Translate that role into expression and visible traits.

  2. 02

    Generate a small board

Use Recraft 4.1, square format, two images per prompt. Create two to five genuinely different candidates rather than tiny variations of one type.

  3. 03

    Register the winner

Create a FaceID/reference from the selected synthetic portrait. Use that explicit identity token in every production prompt.

  4. 04

    Prove four distances

Test close, full-length, seated and motion. A face that only works in a beauty crop is not yet a production cast.

Prompt book

Prompts you can actually start from.

Replace the placeholder IDs with your Astria references. Keep the factual product and identity instructions; change the creative language until it sounds like your brand.

Editorial woman · Recraft 4.1 · 1:1

Close-up studio headshot of a fictional 42-year-old East Asian woman with light olive skin, monolid dark-brown eyes, a straight narrow nose, high cheekbones, a small scar through the right eyebrow, and black hair pulled into a low knot. Bare shoulders, no clothing visible, no jewelry. Quiet assured expression, looking at camera. Clean white background #fff, large north-facing soft light, natural realistic skin texture, casting photograph.

Why this worksAge, structure and one imperfect detail create somebody specific enough to remember.

Characterful man · Recraft 4.1 · 1:1

Close-up studio headshot of a fictional 31-year-old Middle Eastern man with warm olive skin, close-set amber-brown eyes, a prominent aquiline nose, angular jaw, a faint dimple in the left cheek, and thick dark wavy hair brushed back. Bare shoulders, no jewelry. Open thoughtful expression, looking at camera. Clean white background #fff, soft clamshell studio light, natural pores and beard shadow, honest casting photograph.

Why this worksThe prompt avoids celebrity shorthand and builds the face from visible traits.

Fashion model identity tested in a full-body movement frame
Example result
Production identity test · 4:5

<faceid:MODEL_ID:1> woman in four consistent fashion moments: full-length standing, close portrait, seated three-quarter view, and walking mid-step. Same face, age, hair, body proportions and understated expression in every frame. Minimal black tailoring, white daylight studio, 50mm lens, natural skin and fabric. No face drift, no hairstyle change, no body reshaping.

Why this worksThe four-distance test exposes drift before the model is attached to a hundred products.

Choose the tool by the photograph

There is no single “best model.” There is a best next move.

Casting without a reference

The Astria skill’s first choice for original face generation. It is a casting tool here, not the entire production pipeline.

Model benchmark

Choosing for the actual shot

Close portrait, full-length, motion and product typography stress different abilities. Route the brief instead of declaring one permanent winner.

Show me the money

The first face is an experiment. The approved cast is an asset.

The cost comes back when the same cast carries new SKUs, reshoots, crops and seasons without restarting the identity search.

See the work

See identity tested, not merely claimed.

Open the model benchmark and compare the same brief across close, full, seated and motion views. That is a more useful test than one immaculate portrait.

The model is not the adjective list. The model is the face you chose—and the discipline to keep choosing it in every frame.
